Hi,
I just got a GL2 and want to hook it up to my PowerBook G4 using a firewire cable.

The Canon site shows two:

Which one do I use?

4 to 4 pin ot 4 to 6 pin?
Thanks,

Steve,
You might find a bit more info useful. A "6-pin" Firewire connector is basically rectangular with one rounded end. A "4-pin" connector is also rectangular but noticeably smaller and features a dimple on one side of the rectangle. The extra 2 pins of the 6-pin connector enable it to carry currrent from the computer's bus to bus-powered devices (such as some hard disks). Since your GL2 only sends signal to the computer it only takes a 4-pin cable/connector.

And your Mac has the 6 pin on it as a standard... it's the same size as the one on your iPod. :-)

I got the Firewire cable over at Microcenter for $4.08.

Works nicely.

Thanks.
