Question 1
The Cannon manual shows cannon part #CV-150F to be used to connect two GL-2s together to make a copy. Is this "THE CABLE" to use or can I use any 4 pin - 4 pin firewire cable?

Question 2
When I make a copy from cam 1 to cam 2 via firewire, will cam 2 generate its own timecode? What I am trying to do here is put one continous time code on a tape (cam 2), from different tapes being played from cam 1.

A quick responce is appreciated as time is limited on this one.

Thanks in Advance!
Ron

#1: Any 4-to-4 firewire cable will work fine.
#2: Camera 2 will record its own timecode.

Ron, black out a tape for cam 2 to get a continuous timecode. You should always try to do this before shooting or recording (if you have the time). Put your cam in a quiet place w/ the lens cap on, press rec and let it run to the end of the tape. This will record one continuous timecode on your tape w/o any audio or video. In fact you don't need to put it in a quiet place because you can manually turn down the audio levels on the GL2 so it won't rec any sound.

Also be sure to FFW your tape to the end and RW it back to the beginning in order to stretch out the tape before doing any recording.

Good luck.
