1) I am starting up a govt access channel and could use some advice. I already have 2 20" Dell 2007wfp(identical to Apple's 20") and another mediocre 20" LCD. I am looking for a setup to optimize my workflow. I have read about people using a separate monitor just for scopes or something similar(can't remember exactly). I would like to have PPro on one LCD and AE on the other while I work. Most time will be spent in Premiere so could I use AE's LCD to monitor scopes and just switch back to AE when needed?
2) I remember reading about a device(Matrox?) that can hook up to an Apple LCD and provide most or all of the important color adjustments. It also had HD-SDI(I think) and maybe could hook up another lcd. My 20" Dells are almost exactly identical to the 20" ACD so I was thinking it could work on them(or just one of them).
If that doesn't work, then I want something that I can grow into/expand within the next year. I am starting up a govt access channel for a decent size city and their immediate budget allocation does not include a $2000 Sony HD-SDI LCD; however, that will come within a year.
3) What is a good setup for editing broadcast disregarding what I already have?
Thanks.
