Im looking to purchase a relatively inexpensive DOF lens for my camera, I know theres the letus extreme but those are to pricey for me. so if anyone has any experience using a DOF lens on the xl1s let me know, any suggestions will be much appreciated.

There have been posts on DIY/homebrew adapters, although perhaps more oriented to camcorders with smaller filter diameters. Search in the GL and other active forums, especially in the newer HD forums.
