I thought i would do a new post to let everyone know. In a stupid move i had installed Rapport anti-phishing sw on my FCP MBPro. For whatever reason it caused problems, maxxing out the CPU 100% and effectively making the Mac unusable.

So just a warning not to use Rapport.

THANKS TO THE APPLE GENIUS BAR STAFF FOR SORTING THIS OUT IN 2 MINUTES!

Lesson learnt is I shouldn't be using my precious FCP machine for internet browsing...
