For those people, like me, who've been waiting for a simple solution to archiving their master XDCAM material I have good news. We finally have a ball park date from the horses mouth on the NVS2500.
It has been months since Nexto demonstrated a coming firmware update would allow us to burn blu-ray direct from the unit, by-passing a computer and all that horrible time-wasting altogether. This morning Nexto USA finally replied to my enquiries and assured me that the firmware update will be available in September. For those not familiar with this unit, it enables you to create and verify safety copies of your material on various card formats including SxS in the field, in just a few weeks you will also be able to create blu-ray archive disks as well, possibly simultaneously! All this without having to spend hours (or days) going in and out of computers first.

I don't know about you, but that makes me very happy indeed.
