I have recently picked up a GL2 from a local VA, it was purchased many years back and only used a hand full of times as they couldn't figure out its functions. It was new in box, all accessories were still in the factory wrappers. My concern is, that when the camera is turned on, it is silent, performs all menu functions and seems ok, when I load a tape (which loads fine) the camera seems to make a noticable mechanical hum, this is weather I am recording or just setting up with a tape in the camera, is this normal? has anyone experienced this and have any feedback as to what it may be? any help is greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance
