View Full Version : Export does not work

hello all,
I am using Edius Neo 3.2 on a windows7 64 bit O/S PC.
When I try to export to file, using the drop down that includes 'print to tape etc', I find no Codec information in the right hand side of the exporter/description window. Also the 'export' button is greyed out.
I have tried a new installation of the software to resolve this issue, but with no success.
I open a recent project that enabled me to export this way successfully, but the same problem occurs.
I have checked correct settings of both the in and out points.
However, if I right click on the export button in the monitor window and access the 'default' exporter, this seems to work OK.
This has happened once before, and an overnight rest and cold re-boot of the PC in the morning sorted it then.
Any ideas anybody?
Thanks in anticipation

try print to file then a menu pops out and you can chose what type of file to export. Print to tape is for recording to a deck or back to your camera, I hope this works for you

Thanks for getting back, but I am trying to print to file, just tried again but still same issue. I will ring customer support later and let you know how I get on.

sounds like you typed something in the search bar inside the print to file window, clear it and all will be well

Anton, my gratitude for solving and intensely annoying issue for me.
I've been all around the block trying to sort this mistake out!

I ran into this same problem in nov 2011, I would select the print to file and the exporter would open up but there were no export options to select. I had just loaded Avid Media Composer 6 the week before and after som trial and error I came to the ansewer that you can not have both Media Composer 6 and Edius 5.51 on the same boot drive. After a clean install and two different boot drives I can run both programs.
one thing I noted when I had this problem was that you could still choose print to disk.
