This isn't industry news, so I posted it here.
Here's an interesting article about working with image files several hundred million pixels in size!

The images are from the Hubble Telescope. Each image is 4096 x 4096 pixels and it takes 16 of these files to make one complete image. And you thought HD was difficult to work with.
