Hi there

At the moment I back up cards using Mac book pro..to 2.5 500 HDD from the mac shop..

If I use the nexto NVS 2525 and copy or sync to these HDD,s will need to reformat them to FAT 32 first?

Using CF and P2 cards..

Thanks

Hi Robyn,

No problem downloading the NVS 2525 files to your Mac book pro--or to any external hard drive connected to your Mac book pro. Once connected, the NVS 2525 will show up on your desktop as an external hard drive.

thanks,

Karen

Hi Karen

Thanks for your reply.. do you shoot P2 at all.. just wondering about down load times from a 64GB card shooting DVC pro HD or Intra 100.. I know the card it self will hold about an hours worth of footage ..just wonder about the card down load to Nexto 2525..

Thanks again

NVS2525 can copy the external HDD.
If it is not formatted using FAT32, NVS askes you formatting the drive.

There are two NVS which supports both CF & P2.
NVS2525 supports P2 directly and CF using CF adapter.
NVS2501 supports CF directly and P2 using P2 adapter.

The performance is about 60~70MB/s(less than 8 minute for 32GB copy) for P2.
The performance is upto 90MB/s(less than 7 minute for 32GB copy) for CF is you use faster CF.

Thanks.
