Can anyone share their personal experience with Manfrotto MVR901ECLA Lanc Remote Control?

I have used few times Manfrotto 521PRO lanc controller (I rented it) which I liked very much. Now I'm planning to buy MVR901ECLA which seems to be more compact and lighter. Before I order one, I'd like to hear some second opinion on MVR901ECLA Lanc Remote Control. What is good? What is bad?
My biggest concern (just looking at the photos) is the smaller zoom knob on MVR901ECLA than it is on 521PRO. Does this smaller knob have any major impact on controlling the camera?
My camera is Canon XH-A1.
Is there anyone out there using MVR901ECLA?
Especially good would be opinion from someone who had used both above mentioned controllers.
