What are the differences between the HyperDeck 1 and the hyperdeck 2 . I see hyperdeck 1 being sold for almost half of what 2 is going for . Is Dnxhd the only thing that is different ,and can't you download that and instal it on hyperdeck 1 yourself

I think I read that you can't install the DNX firmware on Hyperdeck 1 recorders as there is some new hardware in the #2. They shipped some #2 recorders w/o the firmware, so you had to download & install to get the DNX feature.

The only way to tell if you have a #1 or #2 is to plug it into your computer & see what it recognizes the device as.
