Hi,

I would like to get the Canopus ADVC-300 now, but I'm unfortunate enough to have the 64bit XP version: Windows XP Professional x64.

Does ADVC-300, its drivers and software install and work flawlessly on XP x64?

p.s Don't get this O/S. Hard to find compatible firewall software and compatible virus scanners (two exist) and compatible drive imaging software (choose from one) and compatible pro-audio drivers (where?) etc. I installed an external USB-IDE hard disk enclosure. It came with a driver for "XP". The driver made my DVD-R unusable (not physically, but...). Many devices and software are "compatible with XP". Not necessarily so with x64... Oh, and Nikon Capture (photography) doesn't work either...

If it requires device drivers other than the Microsoft media drivers, it has to have 64bit drivers. Check with Canopus is all I could recommend.

Hmmm... I had thought it would just be a plug and play device too... sigh
