Hey everyone,
I'm trying to save sequence as a full quality .mov. I am using the quick time conversion in FCP4.5. My video is in 16X9 but the quicktime movies are stretched into 4:3 when I play them back. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks

Be a little more specific:

1) Are you exporting from iMovie or FCP?

2) If exporting from iMovie, which is the only place I recall having "Export as full quality" that will export as DV, you would want to choose expert settings and then choose MOV.

3) In MOV go to the settings/options "Bare with me as I do not have my machine in front of me" and change the encoder to AIC "Apple Intermediate Codec".

File>Export>Using QT Conversion.

Then under options you need to manually set your codec. I assume you are working in DV. If this is the case then you select DV/DVCPro-NTSC. The main solution to your problem is that you also have to manually set the size to 854x480 for your movie to be wide screen.

All DV is 720x480 whether it's shot as 4:3 or 16:9. The 16:9 footage is not actually streched vertically, rather, it's squished in horizontally to fit inside the 720 wide frame.
