We were all REALLY hoping today would've been the day Apple announced a dual dual-core PowerPC (G5) Power Mac. Nuts...

There's always tomorrow, so I'll wake up and have my fingers crossed!

ps-I never thought a G5 would be slow, but as new software updates, HDV and other stuff is introduced, my little G5 is SLOW. For a feature where half of the video was black and white, the rendering took 5 hours. It's taking 5 hours to render a 7 minute DV film, albeit with 5 effects layers, including color, threshold, 24p, etc.

How much RAM? I wonder if apps will even address up to 4 to 8 GB that G5's can feature.

I'm helping a friend out with a dual G5 2.7 ghz with 8 gb of Ram. Everything moves REALLY fast and it's quite nice.
