Has anyone tried the ProZoom for the Panasonic video cameras from Studio 1 Production?

Zoom Controller - Panasonic Zoom Controller For Video Cameras (http://www.studio1productions.com/zoom-controller-dvx.htm)

It looks good and it's only $99.95. I was just wondering before I pulled the trigger and purchase one.

Wow, that looks like a great product! I've never seen a controller that inexpensive before. Units like that usually run around $300-400. I think it'll work great. What camera are you using this for? I would go ahead and order it, and return it if I didn't like it. But I'm pretty sure it would do the job it's supposed to.

I found a very thorough review over on the DVU Users forum.

New controller for Panasonic Cameras from Studio 1 Productions (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?302245-New-controller-for-Panasonic-Cameras-from-Studio-1-Productions)

I went ahead and ordered one this morning.

I will let you know how it works out.

For anyone who is interested, I ordered the ProZoom for the Panasonic video cameras from Studio 1 Productions. I got it in on Monday and spent yesterday and today trying it out.

It works great!!! No complaints at all. For the price of $99.95 it is a steal of a deal.

Yes, that price is amazing! 2 decades ago, a Canon lens remote cost $1200, and all it did was zoom/rec. To hear that a controller is now only $99 is incredible.

I remember back when controllers were that much.

I still can believe how well this ProZoom controller works. And the price, what can I say, it's fantastic. I ordered a second one last night.

Rob..
Glad you found my review.

I have replaced the focus knob with a 2 in diameter knob with the expectation that I will get a finer control over small changes to focus.

I will report on my findings.
