Here's a clip I prepared as part of a workshop in Myanmar (Burma). Shot in 4K raw on my F5/R5 using a cheap Sigma 24-70mm lens the day before the event and then edited and graded overnight on a Macbook Pro. The aim being to show how easy Sony's 4K raw is to deal with even with only modest editing tools.

The pagoda is covered with around 80 tons of gold. I was very pleased with the way the camera held the sun reflecting off the gold in the day time shots.

It's an off the shelf 15" MBP Retina. I used a single Seagate 2TB 3.5" USB 3 drive to hold the data. Edited in Premiere CC using the Sony Raw plugin and exported via AAF to Resolve 10 (Full version) for grading.

In Premiere with the viewers set to 1/4 resolution (which for a 4K project means full HD) the performance is real time with smooth playback, no problem at all. In Resolve I drop the project resolution to 1920x1080 and Debayer to 1/4 while I'm working on the grade. Then before export return the project to 4096x2160 and in the deliver options use "Force Full Res Debayer". During the render from resolve I get about 5 to 6 fps render speed, so this clip took about 30-40 mins to render to 4K ProRes HQ.

Sony's raw is very easy to work with. My workstation has a pair of NVIDIA GT570 2GB video cards and this give me real time with sony's 4K in Resolve.
