WIth the cost of postage going up in Canada I am trying to find a way to deliver a grad I do in a more cost effective way. Right now I send out DVD's each case has 2 DVD's in it. One for the grad and the other the grand march. Both could be up to 3 hours but average just over 2. Is there a compression setting out there that would allow me to get 6 hours of footage onto a jump drive. Would like to keep it under 16gb 8 would be best and in HD?

My trusty bitrate calculator says 2.96mbps for 8GB. Great for SD assuming h.264 compression, a little light for HD unless very low movement.

For 6 hours in HD, I'd go 16GB stick and use 5mbps, like I do for YouTube.
