Hello everyone,

I have a few mini DV tapes that I would like to capture to my computer and backup to a large hard drive. I have been looking at these 2 cards on Newegg - VANTEC Model UGT-FW200 PCI Express to 1394 Card Add-On Card - Newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815287010) and Rosewill Model RC-504 PCI Express to 1394 Card Add-On Card - Newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815166018) and wanted to check to see what you all thought of them? Is one of those cards better than the other or would you recommend something else? I am not wanting to spend over $40 for one, unless you highly recommend that I do so. I am certainly open to any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

By the way, I joined way back in 2009 and this will be my first post on here. 'Bout time, eh? :)

If you read the reviews, the first one got good reviews.
There are some complaints about the second one.

If your a Amazon Prime member, you can also get it there.
I find Amazon's return policy to be better

Thanks for the quick response, Vince. Much appreciated!

I have a Newegg gift card to use, but can certainly order from somewhere else. Yes, I did notice the reviews, but that second one does have a lot more. Regardless, if I had a problem I'd simply return it.
