BBC Scotland's Julie Peacock (reports) "Students at Glasgow School of Art said that the fire started after a projector exploded in the basement and set fire to expanding foam that was being used for an art installation. They say final year students had been preparing for their end of year show."

Seriously bad news for such an iconic building. Looks pretty serious at the moment.

That is such a shame. Projector bulbs generate a tremendous amount of heat, and a blocked exhaust fan due to poor placement is really all it takes to turn one into a time bomb. Sure hope the building is not a total loss.
