Shame it isn't native 60p files straight from the camera, but it does look good considering the sensor was designed for industrial robots and not filmmaking.

At NAB AVID was "ignoring" the 4k question by stating that 4k is dealt with in conform.

So they're not making a 4K DNxHD... Darn. Makes it harder for some Windows NLEs to work with the Ursa and the CION.

Any word on when this camera will be released? NAB predictions by BM were "Shipping in July", which ... let's be honest, nobody believed... but it's August going into September and there's not even word of a new date. What gives?

I was at the NYC Blackmagic Event August 13? and it sounded like they were just starting manufacturing line this month. Still showing off a preproduction unit. Don't be surprised October November or later

"When will it ship?"

"They said July. But they didn't specify what year."
