Just saw on Adorama, it's now MSRP of $5999 - $6599 w/ 18-200.

Wow, practically giving it away. I paid way more for mine USED as well only 6 months ago.

I mean, that is really an amazing price. If I can book a couple more gigs before the end of the month, I may need to pick one of these guys up!

I thought this might happen, with the release of the FS7. Oh sure, Sony says they won't compete, but they're both very close in price (or, they were). As I stated before, I expect to see more than a few used FS700s on the market as the FS7 gets released.
But $6,000 is a darn good deal. It's still a very capable camera.

Dear Friends,

I love this also.

The price of purchasing a Sony FS700R or FS700RH + Odyssey7Q + FS700 Raw Option has just became much more affordable.

And, of course, the very attractive FS7's street price is now known, which can also be used with the Odyssey7Q + FS700 Raw Option provide one has the FS7 Expansion Unit.

And the FS7 can be used with the Odyssey7Q without the expansion unit, and without our FS700 Raw Option, but our recording options will be more limited.

Respectfully,

They should offer to upgrade the firmware on older cameras at no charge.

+1 i agree. I want 4K on my FS700 as it's the older model but don't want to pay an additional £500.

Dear Dmitry,

We are having a sale on the Odyssey7Q right now.

We lowered the price by $500, to $1,795 (in the United States, in US Dollars).

The price dropped around the world also, but prices are different in various countries due to shipping, customs duties and other taxes.

This is a limited-time sale, with an unspecified end date.

Of course, we feel that the Odyssey7Q is a real bargain at these (temporary) sale prices.

Respectfully,
