Hi all,
I've been asked to document an event using the XF100. The equipment is supplied to me, the camera has 4x32GB cards and the client is reluctant to spend more money on extra cards.
This would be a whole day of shooting and the current card capacity will allow me to film at the 35Mbps quality. The event is a series of seminar panel discussions, so basically lots of talking heads stuff.
The end result should be a 720p vimeo upload.
I know it's not ideal to shoot at 35Mnps but would it good enough for this type of event/delivery format?
Or should I insist with the client to buy extra cards so I could shoot at 50Mbps?
Advice from experienced XF100 operators would be greatly appreciated

If you have access to the camera before the event shoot some test shots in a similar situation at 35 Mbps and 50 Mbps. Bring them into your NLE and set up a split screen comparison. I can almost guarantee you will not be able to tell which one is which.

Thanks Doug,
I will indeed try to get the camera beforehand to test as you suggest, but it would be great to get some feedback as well from experienced XF100 shooters!
