I know these things are old tech, but I was wondering whether there was ever an updated software install for the Firestore FS-C?
The version I have is 2.1.0.04032307
I have been having some trouble lately with the clips. When I join the clips together (either with TSSplitter or the dos-window copy /b trick) I end up with the sound gone, and only a few seconds of video when I add them to the Vegas timeline. When this happened before, I could run it through a utility I had called MPEGRepair, but that isn't helping this time.
The M2T files play fine with VLC or even Windows Media Player. I also formatted the drive before the last gig.
Anyway, just curious if there was a software update. I might try replacing the hard drive inside as well. It's been in there 7 years.
