I have a JVC GY HD-100U and I am looking for an inexpensive quick release plate. From searching the net, I believe the model number of the plate that works with my camera is KA551U.

Also, can this plate be used with a Bogen 3021 tripod?

It can work with pretty much any tripod. The QR plate on the tripod or in the case of the 3021 the camera mount screw will screw into the bottom of the JVC (or Sony since they are the same) QR plate. Have fun, it's the only way to go!

I had not used a plate with this JVC and only have the Bogen right now and just wasn't quit sure if it was universal size.
