Hi
I'm thinking of buying the above lens to use with my PMW350.
Has anybody had any experience using this lens with the 350?
I cant seem to find any info of this lens on the Fujinon web site, I'm a bit concerned that in some of the literature I have read it seems to have been made for the Panasonic mount P2, and that somehow it also fits a Sony 350?
Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Andreas

B4 is a general mount that has been around for ~25 years or so.. There used to be a Ikegami B3 mount as well.. But these days all 2/3 broadcast lenses are B4 mount and there is no difference between mounting them on a Panasonic 2/3" or Sony 2/3" camera..

The reason it says it's for Panasonic P2 cameras is because it's an OEM lens. It came as a "kit lens" with certain Panasonic shoulder cams, specifically the HPX500. Here's the product page at Fuji's website: XA17x7.6BERM | Panasonic | OEM Lenses | Broadcast HD/SD | Optical Devices | Fujifilm USA (http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/optical_devices/broadcast-uhd-hd-sd/oem-lenses/panasonic/xa17x76-berm/)

Ok
thanks for that guys, has anyone used this lens on the 350?
are there any benefits in image quality in comparison to the stock lens or just ergonomic benefits in fast zoom, quick focus etc?

I've never used the 350's stock lens. Since this is an OEM lens, it's probably nothing special.

My favorite lens was the Canon J11ex4.5B, which was a super-wide SD lens. The closest HD version is the HJ14ex4.3B. The J11 was so wide you could focus on a business card placed on the front element without engaging the macro mode. It also went from full wide to full tele in less than a second.

UHD, HA, ZA and then XA series. It's the entry level & economically priced 2/3" HD lens. Probably filled with focus breathing. Average-OK lens. Definitely will need the CAC lens file on the Panasonic cams. Mostly intended for norma,l well lit scenarios. Anything beyond that will have to be the ZA or HA series.

Thanks for the input guys.

Will probably give this lens a miss now and stay with the stock lens for the time being.
