hi all
fired up the 700 yesterday and slot B won't read or even be recognised when card is inserted! slot A is ok
anyone any similar problems or know a fix

Dirt? Try compressed air to clear the slot out.

Look inside the slot for bent pins. Check the contact area of your media card for any chipped plastic or other damage that might have bent a pin on the inside of the camera's slot.
