Spring has finally come to the North Georgia which is the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains. Shot in April 2017 using a Panasonic GH4 camera and shot at 4k 29.97fps. Lenses used were the Panasonic 14-45, 45-175, and Olympus 60mm macro as well as 75-300. Edited with Edius 8 Workgroup . Music “Mist” licensed from Envato invoice number IVIP16400xxx.

You really captured the freshness of spring. You can read the hope and promise in all those droopy young leaves. Very nice.

I do have a question for you. I have hesitated going to the GH 4/5 because of the lack of telephoto capability compared to a smaller sensor camera. You seem to have gotten about as close to birds as anyone would want, however. Were these set up, near a feeder, for example. Can you estimate what the distance was?

Steve, distance was about 15--25 feet. Lens used is the 75-300 which is effectively 600mm on the long end. When I am out camping I take a little bird seed with me. If I am lucky some birds will come right into my campsite.
