I have the NEX ea 50 uh for weddings id like to get the a6500 as a companion camera. how far can I push the iso on the a6500 without seeing a lot of noise I can push the NEX 50 to 3200 or 21db of gain.

The a6500 will be a lot cleaner then the ea50, I would expect that 12800 iso will not look much worse then 3200 on the ea50.

Wow! That means my f 4.0 lenses I have for my EA 50 will be plenty! Maybe even the stock 18-200

Just look on youtube on a6500 low light comparisons, for such a small camera it has some remarkable low light performance.

Thanks I looked on youtube but when there was artifacts I couldnt tell if it was the camera or youtube. I will pick one up! Maybe the 6300, its much cheaper

Yeah the A6300 and A6500 are remarkable little cameras. Just remember they can overheat, unlike the EA50UH which I've never had overheat and shut down

ok heres a question. I was at best buy looking at the a6500 which I went in pre sold on but they had the cybershot for the same price. I looked at it and I liked it 24-600 zoom 1" chip, theres got to be something wrong here. To me it seems like it would be the perfect all around wedding event camera, am I missing a flaw?
