I am looking to buy 4k camera. Is there any alternative for X70 with same form factor? Is x70 still worth buying considering that camera is 3 years old probably will be replaced soon.

"Replaced"?!?!?! Don't say that. My X70 (Tinkerbell) is very sensitive.

The Z150 maybe?
I'd prefer the X70 personally because I really need the "professional" features in a very small form factor.

Given the industry, it seems any camera may be replaced after it passes the one year mark. It depends on your needs.

There's the Panasonic UX90 but internal HD recording is only 8 bit 4:2:0 and no SDI output. It's a bit larger like the Z150.

A compact camcorder with a good sensor, full manual controls, and shoots 4K? Can't see them replacing it anytime soon. Obviously the next generation will be built in 4K, not an upgrade, and myb more recording options for 4K (24, 60, timelapse) but for the now it's a great little unit.

I think the 'Next One' is 2-3 years away.

I would expect a new PXW X70+1 with a new sensor and 120fps 4k. sometime in the future.

It would be nice to see an X70A with the sensor out of the Z150...they could keep the 4K as a paid option.

And streaming to others not just Ustream.

X70 streams default to MPEG-TS.
