Guys, I'm launching a web series and I was wondering what is the best strategy to capitalize on my work. Some people told me I should create a channel on facebook and promote them on facebook, while others have told me to create a channel on youtube and promote it on facebook. I have no idea which way to go and I cannot really create an ad telling people to go to both places or I'll confuse potential viewers and will end up dividing the number of views among both places.

Anyone out there with a successful channel, making actual money care to step in? ...don't worry, my market is Brazil  You can send me a private message if you want to keep your secrete

I would aim for a Youtube channel. They have monetization, plus they're beginning to offer a Youtube or Google TV type setup, sorta like Sling TV where for $35 you can subscribe to numerous cable channels (CNN, ESPN, TBS etc). Being Google, I would imagine they integrate Youtube nicely into it.

Plus already YT is an available channel on Roku & FireTV type boxes. However, when you upload clips onto your Facebook page be sure to upload directly to FB. Part of their algorithm is that actual FB vids remain high on peoples timelines whereas that embedded from YT & Vimeo tends to drop quicker.

Is that true/for sure about uploading directly to FB vs linking to Youtube? Very interesting.

Yeah, pretty much.

I've tried to read the Youtube fine print and can't understand if what you upload there, becomes Youtube's property? Any thoughts on this?
