Shooting in bright sunlight is difficult, all the more if you wear glasses like I do. I have looked online for an eyecup for my GH4 and found one costing more than 30 USD. I figured I'd make one and found a suitable material. A 12 x 18 in foam sheet 2 mm thick sold in art stores or even in walmart cost only 89 cents. I made a template which you can print and trace over this foam sheet, cut and glue using contact cement.

If you like to make one, go to the DIY pages of my site to download the template.
There's also a video there on how to make it.

I made this and it works well. One change I made though was to trim away a bit on the nose side, so I can look straight into the viewfinder.

Glad you found it useful. Yes, you can customize it to fit your needs.
