I took a photo quickly my camera was fine but because it was only 68% you can't see it. I thought I might have missed timed it until I saw the crescent reflection.

I video recorded the last total eclipse here in Scotland , which must have been circa 2000 .

I used my then DCR VX-1000 , and shot through the glass of a welding mask .

It worked pretty well , with the camera tripod mounted , I got several minutes of nice video , and watched the spectacle through the EVF since it wasn’t safe to watch with the naked eye .
