Has anyone purchased and used this upgrade? I see that it is now available on the B&H site. I am curious to see if there is any degradation of the image and if the card can keep up with the frame rate without failing. I had originally heard that the FS5's processor couldn't handle it, which is why the camera's slo-mo record time was limited.

Noticed that Philip Bloom has done a video review of this firmware upgrade. His one comment is interesting in stating that the hfr is in "8-bit 4:2:0 and only 25mbps as opposed to the normal 50mbps for normal speed HD".

It is located here: Testing out the 100fps Sony FS5 firmware upgrade...is it worth it? | Philip Bloom- Blog (http://philipbloom.net/blog/sonyfs5100fps/)

I was a bit shocked when I saw that (having bought my 120fps upgrade) and rang my dealer and gave him a hard time about it! He got on to Sony, who don't seem to have ever published the specs, and the upshot is that Bloom is misinformed. And that's confirmed by what I see from the camera looking at the clips in Catalyst Browse. Am not at an editing computer just now, but the HFR does show up as 422 10bit and 50mbps.

Yes, there are no specs that I could find. That's good to know. Thanks.
