Hey, everyone!

Has anyone ever had to clean the sensor glass on their cinema camera? There is a small amount of dust on my C100 sensor glass, and it is really noticeable at larger apertures when focusing. I’ll send it into Canon if needed, but I wanted to see if there was any way to clean it myself.

I once bought and successfully used a sensor swab cleaning kit on my dslr. I’d first start off with air puffer. You might be able to dislodge the dust without touching the sensor and they’re good thing to have. Some give the camera a quick puff between lens changes.

I know it’s scary cleaning the sensor but it’s not rocket science.

As P C said it can be scary but it's totally possible. Watch this informative little video.

I've had the same one since my 5D MKII days. Makes life simpler and easier, not to mention saves you money on sensor cleanings.
