Question;
I have a Video DVD that I created in Adobe Encore several years ago and a no longer have the Project files. I have moved to Win10. The ISO file that I had created but now it is in a 7z Folder which contains 2 folders with
an Audio_TS and Video_TS file folders. The iso file that I use to use to burn DVDs is not there. Can I use a free burning software to burn a DVD or how can I get the Audio_TS and Video_TS files converted to a.ISO file so that I can start burning DVDs again. I have searched the forum but with no luck.
Thanks in advance.
Harry

Hi Harry,

If you don't find a solution to getting the VIDEO_TS files back into a DVD format, maybe try this - Premiere can Import the .vob files you have. Drop them into a timeline, then export as MPEG-2 DVD. Yes, you would be recompressing the content again, but just in case you have no other option this ought to work. Assuming you still have access to Premiere and Encore

Just found this software that claims to do exactly what you need - https://www.aimersoft.com/tutorial/video-ts-to-iso.html

Thanks

If he has the audio and video ts files he has to do nothing but burn to a disc. He does not need an iso file. Those are the files on a DVD if you look. An iso file is an image of the disc which contains these files in disc format. Imgburn can use these files and burn a disc. It can take these files and create an iso file if that is desired. It can read a DVD and create an iso file etc. It is a very good burner too. The one advantage Nero burning ROM has is the ability to burn from multiple drives at the same time. I have both.

I use Magic ISO I know its not free but for about 40 euros I paid for its well worth it as I use it all the time to burn ISO files to disk be it CDs or DVDs the ones who make Magic ISO also make another peice of software called Magic Disk which allows you to mount ISO files as a DVD or a CD which can be very handy for checking disk images as well. Magic Disk is free

Good point, this WILL work with software that supports it, like ImgBurn. Just to clarify though, if one were to simply "write" the VIDEO_TS folder to a disc using Windows to burn data (drag to disc), that would NOT make a DVD playable in a set-top player since the DVD is not properly formatted as VIDEO DVD, but rather is simply a DATA disc with a VIDEO_TS folder on it, big difference.

Thanks

Absolutely correct. Needs to be formatted like a DVD disc not a data disc. ImgBurn will do that as well as make an iso file for you to keep for the future. Its free too.
