Dear forum members,

I am in the market for a new photo/video editing monitor.
As of right now I do mostly weddings photo/video but from time to time I have some other gigs like documentaries or promotional videos.

I am undecided between Curved Ultra-Wide, 4K and 4K HDR monitors.

- As far as Curved Ultra-Wide, I don't think it being curved will be good for keepig the lines straight, especially for photo editing.
- 4K HDR monitor seems like the best option but they are quite expensive. Also, I feel like HDR technology is just simply not here yet and won't be mainstream for another 5 years?
- As such, I am leaning most towards 4K monitor that covers 100% sRGB and RGB.

What would you guys recommend?

I just bought this one and am very happy with it for editing video, photos and working in Indesign, and it’s curved. I went from a three monitor set up to a single and it’s a lot less strain and head movement to see. Really liking the ultra wide ratio and all the split screen and PIP available on this model. It does NOT have a speaker but I knew that when ordering.

Being able to see the whole time line across the screen is nice and I don’t notice any “bending” or skewing of lines. There’s not THAT much curve over the whole width of the screen and the 8-10 “ area you work in it’s not even noticeable IMHO. I’m really liking it so far.
