After eleven long years, it is time for me to let go of RED One MX #0011.

Jim offered me a shot at an early serial number just before NAB 2006 and I'm proud to have been a member of "the first 100" owner's group. Long before I received the camera in 2007, the RED Team sent me the "backwards R" memento with the serial number stamped on it. As much as I hate to let it go, it's included in this kit because it really belongs with this camera.

ELEVEN did plenty of time in a rental facility in Austin, Texas as one of the very first RED One cameras available in the market. It was used on an untold number of shoots. When the MX upgrade became available, I jumped on it. The hours were reset for the new sensor. I pulled it out of rental shortly thereafter. The camera has 681 hours on the MX sensor. Sure, most of those were rental hours, but it's not a whole lot of time relative to other RED One MX cameras that are much younger than this one.

It has a few scratches and dents and beauty marks here and there, but like most other R1's, it's solid, sound and reliable. The firmware in it right now is Build 31 (v31.6.16).

This kit includes:

RED One MX #0011 4.5K digital cinema camera, PL mount w/ CF side module and focus hooks
AC power adapter w/ AC cord & power cable

5.6" LCD with RED storage pouch
EVF (electronic viewfinder)
adjustable mount arm for LCD or EVF
18" LCD / EVF cable (right to straight)
24" LCD / EVF cable (right to right)

Six RED 8GB Compact Flash cards
Four RED 16GB Compact Flash cards
HoodMan RAW FireWire CF card reader

1 x 10 ft. DC power cable (RED #409106, 6-pin to 6-pin) (charger to cam)

4 x RED brick batts., refurbed in 2014 by John Ritter (documentation included)

Element Technica Breakout Box

4 x Mini-XLR to Mini-XLR cables (RED #108002) (all in new, unopened packaging)
5 x BNC to DIN cables (RED #109001) (two different brands, all are 6")

RED One Operation Guide, printed, 160 pages, in binder (for Build 31)
RED One Quick Start Guide plus extra info, printed, 16 pages, in binder
Collection of RED One printed brochures & cut sheets (from concept stage forward)

RED premium production pack, includes:
bottom bridge plate w/ shoulder dovetail (ships attached to camera)
2 x 12" 19mm rods
2 x 18" 19mm rods
3 x side handles
2 x universal mounts
2 x top mounts
top handle
top handle extension
2 x grip handles
grip handle mounting bar
RED drive cradle w/ V-mount batt. plate & power cable

Pelican 1620 hardshell case w/ custom foam insert -- the top tray disappeared long ago. I don't know if a replacement is available. I can provide a photo of what it looks like if you want to fabricate one. This case came from RED very early on, before Jarred started branding them, so it does not carry any RED markings.

This kit is ready to shoot if you just add a lens. There is a premium on this camera by virtue of its very low serial number, relatively low hours, included token "R" with matching serial number, and refurbished batteries. The price is $6,500 with free shipping (by ground) inside the continental US. This is a large, heavy package and it is cost prohibitive from both a shipping and customs standpoint, so please understand that it's available to US residents only. Thanks for looking.
