Hi fellow shooters.

I have a shoot coming up where the C300 Mk II's dual pixel AF will come in very handy. I've recently been shooting with the Sigma 18-35 on a C300 Mk I and love the lens.

I wanted to find out if the sigma is compatible with the dual pixel AF, and whether it worked as well as the Canon lenses do?

I'd really appreciated any experiences you guys have had with this setup.

Many thanks.

Yes, the Sigma 18-35 works with DPAF. The lens is definitely louder with DPAF enabled than the Canon lenses, and it can hunt a bit more than a regular Canon. Still very useable.

It can't be worse than my EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS. The focusing is super loud, coarse and slow, as compared to my 10-18 4.5-5.6 STM IS, 18-135 STM IS and the 70-200 2.8 IS II. That Sigma is a sweet lens for the money.

Thank you both for your insight. It's very helpful for an upcoming shoot.
