Some interesting speculation about where Apple is heading:

Munster also predicted the launch of an Apple-branded "iPhone" with iTunes capabilites, and, five years down the line, a terabyte iPod that will offer massive storage and wireless capabilities and become a "portable coffee-table media center."

Then apple has to come up with a Mac Media Center OS before the media portion of the terabyte iPod would ever come true. and the screen must be 3" 720p60 compatible.

Actually that isn't as far fetched as you might think. I was at an exclusive Barco seminar last spring and we had a chance to talk to their people at length. They get the chips for their big DLP projectors from Texas Instruments, which is the only source. They were bemoaning the fact that TI keeps making the chips smaller and smaller, which is a real problem for them as they want to engineer bigger and bigger DLP projectors. And Barco doesn't buy sufficient quantities for TI to make custom chips for them (evidently TI won't do that unless you order a minimum of 100,000 chips).

What does this have to do with cellphones you ask? Barco said that the "next big thing" that TI was all excited about was DLP chips for cell phones! They were working on tiny chips with LED light sources that would allow you to project movies on the wall from your cellphone!
