I have a BVW 300AP which has 3 2/3" CCDs.

I also have an 82mm Canon ProTV Zoom Lens (15x i think)

Does the large sensors coupled with the large lens help to give me more of a film look (regarding DOF) than many other setups?

I suppose if i closed the iris i would have more of a film look...

Could someone just clarify this for me?>

Thanks.

Nearly correct apart from the fact that you will need your iris open for a shallower DOP (the look of film) which I think you are wanting. The 2/3" imaging plane will be good for a relatively shallow DOP if your iris is fully open ie. f.2.8 or less. Large lenses can help so if you are struggling for super shallow even with 2/3" CCD's then you have yourself covered.
