You will also be interested in a suggestion (ie rumour) on the Edius forum that there will be a Broadcast upgrade bundling the P2, Varicam, XDCam options for 500 Euro.

lets see what happens you still need the codec pack to edit with the hvx even with the bundle you described thats 1000 smackers...also euro canopus and us canopus may offer diff bundles...

An Australian dealer has posted new info on Edius Broadcast on the Edius forum. The uprade includes the HD Codec pack, SpeedEncoder, XDCAM, P2 and Varicam options, a WMV editing plugin and a hardware dongle. He quotes a price of Australian $699 for the upgrade inc GST(= cUS$525) shipping end January.
