To all FCP users in the Austin area, FCP expert Larry Jordan will be giving a seminar on January 18-19. Details can be found at http://www.larryjordan.biz/sem/winter_tour.html. There are 9 other cities on the tour stop as well. Check it out!

The closest we usually come to film/dv-related seminars from the top pros is the slight sprinkles of blue water being flushed from the jets carrying them as they fly overhead from LA to the East Coast. Hopefully, this will be the start of a new trend in adding Austin, a major film and computer hub, to the tour stops.

John, you're not going to get any sympathy from anyone short of L.A. & NY markets. :-)

With Austin having Austin Film Festival, SxSW, Aint It Cool News, DVi.net (in backyard), HDforIndies.com, Reel Women film group, Digital Filmmaking Resource Group (which I helped start) and a bunch of other filmmaking groups in town...you have a-plenty of places if you want information on something film-related!

Glad Larry is doing a seminar, but Austin is abundant with information...hope you're finding it!

No arguments there, Kevin... I know Austin has a lot to offer. But where are the Gorilla seminars, the Final Draft seminars, Robert McKee and Syd Field seminars, etc.? Not here...or if they are, not often.

Austin has a lot, but there's more to be had.
