Is it written in stone somewhere that Sony is the best camera brand in the world? As far as I know hype is not made of stone.

Let's hope this thread doesn't turn into a Sony fanboy rampage...

I never said Sony was the best, but I meant that the Sony Quality (Q&A) can be safely used as a benchmark for other brands.

I liked the "bribe" portion of the story, plus there is another story on Sony, LG, and 13 other manufacturers bribing the Chinese.

Fortunatly the Z1 is not one of those failed cameras.
