If you had your choice between this camera and the XL H1, which would you personally choose and why, think in terms of cinematicism (it's trademarked, don't even think about it) I'm undecided, I could go for the XL H1, but I'm wondering about the TRUE resolution and the cadence, I'm interested in knowing which one has the most cinematic type motion... Penny for your thought?s

We should wait for the results of the 4-way shootout to determine if the 24F motion captured by the XLH1 is comparable to true 24P.
We do already know that there is a resolution hit when the XLH1 goes into "F" mode. That isn't a good sign considering we know that Canon is using an interlaced CCD.

Ergonomically, I think I prefer the HD100 design over the XLH1 hands down. I pulled my XL2 out the other day and it felt very uncomfortable now that I'm used to the HD100 in handheld mode.

I do love the BNC SDI and TC connectivity of the XLH1 though. After shooting with RCA to BNC adapters on the HD100 (we broke two of them) I really hope JVC adds BNC connectors to the next generation. (Whenever that may be.)

BTW Tim, does the quality deminish if you use RCA components? It seems like my Marshall HD monitor doesn;t look that sharp with the RCA, but I haven't tried with other connectors for the reasosn you stated.

No. Cable quality (shielding) it important to avoid noise, but other than than it is just a connector. BNC connectors "lock" in place, making them ideal for on-set.
