I just bought a Mac G5 Quad / with the GForce 6600 card. I currently have my 23" cinema display and a 19" samsung display hooked up to this card (using the provided DVI>VGA adapter). I then use my firewire connection to a mini DVCam to output the video and audio to a monitor (using FCP)

Question:
I would like to eliminate the use of the firewire connection and go straight from another graphics card, which graphics card is recommended in doing so? Just like to clean up the configuration a bit.

Thanks all!
George-

You mean what other options to view on your external NTSC monitor or TV?

A capture card. Aurora FuseX or PipePro Studio. Decklink SP or Extreme. AJA I/O or I/O LA. A simple graphics card won't give you what you are looking for.

Those cards are exactly what I'm looking for, I'll do the research to see which best fits my needs. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
