Ive got a sachtler dv 6 tripod and i want a quick release system for my monopod but can only find the Sachtler Sandwich Touch and Go Adapter at an amazing 394 dollars. Since i live in the UK that figure will usually be doubled. Is there any cheaper options anyone uses - any cut arounds or cheats to get a similar benefit...I'm stretching here!

You could check Ronford Baker, although given that they're film & TV tripod manufacturers, I can't see them being much cheaper (if at all). However, the kit will last a lifetime - it's wonderfully overbuilt.
