Hi Brad,

I attended the DV Revolution workshop in Wash, D.C. about six weeks ago. It is an enjoyable presentation giving some basic tips on lighting, manual camera settings and editing. During the course of the workshop you will have the opportunity to watch the presenter produce a one minute video using some of the suggested techniques and one or more of the participants as subjects.
I found the class extra useful since it demonstrated the capabilities of the GL-2 when properly adjusted and operated.
The show is by no means a high pressure sales pitch, but rather, a low key approach to convincing attendees of the benefits of the DV Creators' more in depth courses and materials.

Attended a couple of weeks ago in Phoenix. Good basic info on how to get a good interview shot using the equipment group they recommend. Introduced a couple of software programs I had not seen in the past that were interesting. Overall, if you're just getting into DV, a great way to see it's capabilities in action.

Brad,
DVCreators is a good quality operation. Many DVInfo.net members have attended some of their workshops (myself included). The free seminar they are presenting around the country is a taste-portion of their larger seminars. I don't know of any classes specifically devoted to the GL2 but DVCreators often uses Canon XL1S' and GL2's in their seminars (hence the promotion by Canon).
