Regret

The only regret in life I have is not buying the Optura PI. I was suffering from Wer die Wahl hat, hat die Qual at the time. It's a common ailment afflicting cam buyers.

That camera sucks. You're better off just using a Hi8 or maybe VHS-C camcorder and just grabbing frames from that.

But the Optura PI doesn't suck low light, plus it has a pro-scan CCD and an OIS to boot. Nothing to snort at, that's for sure. :-))

Dude. I'm telling you... you're waaaaay better off with a second or third generation frame grab from a VHS-C tape recorded in EP or SLP mode with tracking problems and a dirty head... with JPEG compression set to "0", recompressed 6 times over.

Did those analog cams come in the PI size? Didn't think so. :-))

Are you saying you have a problem with shoulder mounted tube cameras??????????????????? I don't see how an Optura PI could possibly compete with the dual camera/recorders of the 70's.

They didn't need that, Frank. Older is always better. Change is bad. And scary! Great. Now I won't be able to sleep tonight!
