Samurai still bricking when Play button pushed

I've got the latest firmware installed, but intermittently the Samurai unit will go black screen and need to be power cycled when pushing the Play icon after recording a few clips. No clips are lost, but it makes checking laborious and nerve-wracking.

I thought this was something addressed and fixed a couple of firmware versions ago?

Any ideas?

Not up to date with the history with these/firmware etc. but just a suggestion. Does it do this with an alternate, i.e. different HDD?

worth testing. I've been using an Intel SSD that's Atomos recommended. I'll give it a test with a spinning HD and a different SSD to see if it is isolated to just one drive, still it was supposed to be fixed ages ago. . .

Hi Bruce,

Which firmware version are you currently using?

Kind regards,

Atomos

I've installed the new 4.0 update and the recorder seems to be working properly now. I'll update if that changes.
